MinnesotaCare from Blue Plus is a healthcare plan for people who need affordable healthcare but don’t qualify for Medical Assistance, Minnesota’s Medicaid program.
MinnesotaCare from Blue Plus is available in all Minnesota counties.
The monthly cost (premium) depends on your income and family size. You may need to pay a copay (a dollar amount) for some services or when you get your medication.

Infants and children under age 9 can receive a car seat and booster at no cost to you.** Children aged 9 or older who are unable to pass Minnesota’s Child Passenger Safety Law (5-point test) due to their size remain eligible for the car seat program.

A pharmacy network is a list of pharmacies (drug stores) where you can get medicine at lower prices. Choose from many pharmacies in our network.

You have the right to ask for an appeal if you don’t agree with our decision to deny, reduce or terminate a service.
An appeal is when you ask us to look again at the care we denied to make sure we made the right decision.
If you have Medical Assistance (Medicaid) or MinnesotaCare, your health insurance needs to be renewed annually. Avoid losing your health insurance by being prepared for your renewal and ensuring your address, phone number and email address are always current.
