Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has a wide range of competitive dental plan options. All plans cover preventive dental care at 100 percent, including exams and cleanings, when you see an in-network dentist. Additional benefits available:

  • No waiting periods
  • No missing tooth clause 
  • Posterior composites (white fillings covered the same on front and back teeth)

  • As part of our standard dental plans, we offer:  
    • Jr. Dental: 100 % coverage for dependent children 12 and under with no deductible or annual plan maximum on all covered services. Orthodontic care is excluded. Standard plan limitations apply. Out-of-network services may be subject to balance billing.
    • Three cleanings per calendar year
    • Fluoride treatment covered up to age 19

A lower cost alternative that maintains broad provider choice and major coverage, with higher cost sharing on select complex services to help control premiums.

*With Preventive Incentive, preventive services do not count toward a member's annual maximum. This encourages members to receive important preventive services and to use benefit dollars for future restorative services.
