Behavioral health and care options

Behavioral health refers to your overall mental and emotional wellbeing, including how you cope with day-to-day challenges.

Care options cover treatment for issues like depression, anxiety, substance use, and other addictions.

Members have access to a wide variety of virtual and in-person behavioral health providers.

Blue Plus members have a wide variety of provider options for care, support, and coverage for mental health and substance use concerns. Virtual and in-person options are available for most members.*

Telehealth

Visit with a licensed psychologist or board-certified psychiatrist using the video feature on your phone, tablet or computer.

Mental health professionals are available by appointment to help with depression, social anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, trauma and loss or workplace stress.

BlueRideSM from Blue Plus offers you a safe and reliable ride to covered medical, dental, and pharmacy visits with doctors in your plan network.

Autism support

Autism navigation services

A Blue Cross navigator is available to assist you throughout the course of your child’s treatment. They will help you find in-network providers who can support the needs of you and your child.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) research shows that early intervention treatment services can greatly improve your child’s development.

Options include:

  • Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) services
  • Provide clinical guidance and caregiver support
  • Ensure access to therapy and skill-based services
  • Coordinate with providers and care systems
  • Community services
