Your Phone, Your Health

Your pathway to important plan information

In this day and age, it’s easier than ever to manage your healthcare without feeling overwhelmed. Some tools may already be on your smartphone. From built-in apps to plan- specific resources, your smartphone can help you stay organized, informed and better connected to your care team.

Blue Cross offers digital tools specific to your health insurance plan. Whether you are scheduling appointments, preparing for a visit or learning more about your benefits, your phone can help.

Manage Appointments

When you schedule an appointment, add it to your phone’s calendar right away. You can set reminders so you don’t forget upcoming visits or tests. You can also include notes such as location, parking details or other information. Having that information ready the day of your appointment can help you feel prepared while reducing stress.

Note Taking

Your Notes app is a convenient tool to keep track of everything you want to discuss at your next healthcare appointment. Use it to keep a list of your symptoms and questions as they come up. At the appointment itself, you can keep track of your doctor’s advice and instructions for taking any new medications.

Telehealth

Depending on the reason for your appointment, you can attend your doctor’s appointments from the comfort of your own home, using your phone, tablet or computer. This way, you can save on travel time and more easily fit appointments into your schedule.
