Broiled White Sea Bass

With bright lemon and garlic, this broiled white sea bass is an easy spring recipe to add to your weekly rotation. The tender fish cooks quickly under the broiler, making it a perfect choice for a simple, heart-healthy meal. Serve with roasted vegetables, brown rice or a fresh green salad for an easy dinner. Serves two.

INGREDIENTS
2 white sea bass fillets, each 4 ounces
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon salt-free herb seasoning blend
Ground black pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the broiler or grill.
2. Position the rack 4 inches from the heat source. Lightly spray a baking pan with cooking spray. Place the fillets in the pan.
3. Sprinkle the lemon juice, garlic, herb seasoning and pepper over the fillets. Broil or grill until the fish isn’t transparent throughout, called opaque, when tested with the tip of a knife, about 8 to 10 minutes.
4. Serve right away.
