Spring Symptoms

Spring brings fresh flowers — and for many, sneezing and sniffles. But how can you tell if it’s allergies or something more? Understanding the difference can help you manage your symptoms more comfortably and know when it may be time to check in with your healthcare provider.

Common allergy symptoms include:

• Runny or stuffy nose
• Sneezing
• Itchy eyes
• Puffy eyelids

It may be something more than allergies if you notice:

• A fever
• Sore throat
• Cough
• Body aches or fatigue

QUICK TIP:
Allergy symptoms typically improve with a short course of antihistamines like Allegra, Claritin or Zyrtec. If symptoms don’t improve after several days, become severe or interfere with daily activities, contact your doctor.

Help Us Serve You Better

Blue Cross and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) want to make sure you’re receiving the best healthcare possible. Each year, CMS surveys members to gather feedback on their health plan. Your responses matter — they help us make improvements and stay accountable to the people we serve.

The survey asks about your experience with your health plan, including the services and benefits you use most often. If you receive it, we encourage you to take a few moments to complete it. Your feedback helps us better support our members and plan for the future.
