Effective January 1, 2026

Chiropractic benefits are changing for Medical Assistance (Medicaid) members

Starting January 1, 2026, all Medical Assistance (Medicaid) plans in Minnesota will no longer cover chiropractic care for members age 21 and older. For members under age 21, coverage will be limited. These changes reflect the current state policy.

Effective January 1, 2026

Aspirus St. Luke’s & High Value Networks

Starting January 1, 2026, Aspirus St. Luke’s—including all affiliated hospitals and clinics—will no longer be part of these high-value networks: 

  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Commercial High Value Network
  • Blue Plus Minnesota Value Network for individual and family plans
  • The nationwide High Performance Network 

Aspirus St. Luke’s remains in-network for all other Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota networks, including the Medicare High Value Network.

 

Effective January 1, 2026

Changes to Medicare Fitness benefit 

Twin Cities Life Time and YMCA locations will no longer be part of the Medicare fitness network for Blue Cross members starting on January 1, 2026. YMCAs located in Greater Minnesota communities are included in the network.

Blue Cross Medicare members will continue to have access to more than 600 fitness locations across the state, with more than 240 in the Twin Cities. Members will also have unlimited access to on-demand workout videos, live online fitness classes and the thousands of additional fitness locations nationwide.
