Depression support

Depression can cause both physical and emotional pain. Depression is an illness that may cause you to feel sad, to lose interest in activities you've always enjoyed, to withdraw from others and to lack energy. It's different from normal feelings of sadness, grief or low energy.

Many people – and sometimes their families – feel embarrassed or ashamed about having depression. Don't let these feelings stand in the way of getting treatment. Remember depression is a common illness and there is help available. If you suspect you or a loved one may be depressed, it’s important to address the problem right away.
