MDU Resources employees can choose between two different high deductible health plans (HDHP). Both plans provide coverage for preventive care, office visits, hospitalizations, surgery, prescription drugs and more. Each medical plan offers prescription coverage under the FlexRx Preventive list. Prescriptions on this list are available at no cost to employees and their covered family members. All other in-network prescriptions are covered at 80% (after deductible). The plans differ in deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums.
Both plans can be paired with a health savings account (HSA). This allows you to save tax-free money for eligible healthcare expenses. Money in an HSA rolls over year after year and is owned by the employee even if you change jobs or medical plans.
