Welcome to your Blue Cross Vision plan. You can get the most out of your plan by following these five easy steps.
1. Create an online member account
To see your vision plan information, including your coverage and claims, take a moment to register on our member site to see your vision plan member information online. The site is secure, personalized and easy to use.
Get up-to-date information about your plan:
- See recent claims
- Check plan benefits and who is covered
- Find an eye care professional in network (If you use out-of-network providers, you may have to pay more)
- Get a copy of your vision member ID card
- Learn about eye health and how it connects to overall health
2. Keep your Blue Cross Vision plan ID card with you
You’ll get your vision plan member ID card in the mail promptly after your enrollment is confirmed. Be sure to bring it when you visit an eye care provider. It includes important information about your benefits:
- Your name and member identification number
- Instructions to help vision providers submit claims
- Customer service numbers
3. Review your benefits in your Blue Cross Vision plan
Depending on the plan you selected, your vision coverage may help you save on the following:
- Annual eye exams
- Contact lens fitting
- Eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Enhancements to eyeglass lenses
- Exclusive frame collection at many non-retail locations
- Enhanced benefits at all Visionworks stores
4. Find a doctor and schedule an annual eye exam
As a Blue Cross Vision plan member, you have access to a large and growing network with eye care providers nationwide. You can choose to see any optometrist or ophthalmologist in the network, in private practice or at one of four optical retailers: Visionworks, Sam’s Club, Costco or Walmart. You save money when you choose an in-network provider.
