## Benefit details ### Over-the-Counter (OTC) benefit details This benefit provides you with an allowance to order eligible over-the-counter medications and health-related products. OTC medications are trusted as a first line of defense in treating minor ailments, help reduce doctor visits and save you money. **Medicare plans that have a twice a year allowance (every 6 months):** - Medicare Advantage (PPO) - Metro Region - Core and Comfort plans - Medicare Advantage (PPO) - West Region - Core and Comfort plans - Medicare Advantage (PPO) - Southern Region - Core plan **Medicare plans that have a quarterly allowance (every 3 months):** - Freedom Blue Medicare Advantage (PPO) - Medicare Platinum Blue (Cost) - Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) - Group Medicare Platinum Blue (Cost) There is no additional premium for those who have the OTC benefit included in their health plan. These added OTC benefits will vary by plan, so be sure to review your Evidence of Coverage (EOC) for benefit coverage and important details.
