Walter T. Chesley is a senior vice president of human resources, training and development for Universal Hospital Services, Inc. (UHS). UHS is the leading medical equipment lifecycle services company in the United States, offering comprehensive solutions that maximize equipment utilization, productivity and optimal patient care. He joined UHS in 2003 and is accountable for human resources, training and development, and corporate compliance. Prior to his position at UHS, he served as vice president of human resources and chief administrative officer with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Before that, Chesley was vice president, human resources for Ceridian Corporation. Earlier in his career, he was assistant vice president of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation and Reuben H. Donnelley directory publishing division. He serves as chair of the board of directors for Community Health Charities-Minnesota; president-elect of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest; and is a board member of the YMCA of Greater Minneapolis. Chesley has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications and public relations from Boston University and a Juris Doctor degree from the American University Washington College of Law.
