Specialty drug program
Specialty drugs are used to treat serious or chronic conditions such as multiple sclerosis, hemophilia, hepatitis and rheumatoid arthritis. These drugs are typically injected, and can be given by the patient or a family member.
If you take a specialty drug, check your plan materials or call the number on the back of your member ID card to see if the program is available to you.

You'll work with a specialty drug vendor(listed below). They will deliver your drugs right to your home. They'll make sure the delivery fits your schedule.
Specialty drug vendors are experts in getting drugs and services to patients who have complex needs. They will give you educational materials about your condition and your medications. You'll also get 24-hour access to pharmacists who can answer your questions.
When you use a specialty drug vendor, you’ll pay only your plan’s deductible, coinsurance or copay amount. There are no extra costs for shipping and handling.

Call one of the specialty vendors to get started
Have your doctor’s contact information and your member ID card when you call

The vendor you chose will call you before your scheduled refill. They will confirm your order and dosage and discuss any changes from your doctor. They will also coordinate your next shipment of specialty drugs.
