EAGAN, Minn. (December 12, 2012) — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) has received a 2012 CLIO Healthcare gold level award for its “Tomorrow” ad, one of two national gold awards given this year for video entries.
The commercial uses humor, real life scenarios and a song parody to motivate Minnesotans to make healthy changes today. Viewers are then directed to the Blue Cross website, where they can find information to get started making healthy lifestyle changes. The ad is part of an overall strategy to convey the message that Blue Cross stands up for health and cares about health, family and community.
The CLIO Healthcare Awards is an extension of the CLIO Awards, one of the world’s most recognized competitions for advertising, design and communications. The CLIO Healthcare Awards are executed with the same commitment to excellence and rigorous standards as the CLIO Awards and judged based on standards specific to the health care industry.
