Jan K. Malcolm

President, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute

Jan Malcolm Malcolm is president of the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, a Minnesota-based non-profit rehabilitation and resource center. Prior to joining Courage Kenny, Malcolm was a senior program officer for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton, N.J., where she helped develop funding initiatives to strengthen the nation’s public health system. Malcolm also served as commissioner of health for the State of Minnesota from 1999 – 2003. Highlights of her term included passage of major budget initiatives in tobacco prevention and elimination of health disparities. Previously, Malcolm was vice president of public affairs at Allina Health System and a senior vice president of government programs and public policy at HealthPartners.

Malcolm currently serves as a board member of Hennepin Healthcare System, Inc. (the county subsidiary corporation that operates the Hennepin County Medical Center), the Bush Foundation and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation.
