The President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports recommends 30 minutes of brisk walking each day on five or more days a week (or 10,000 steps daily) for long-term health benefits. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota supports the Council's efforts to keep America healthy by participating in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s WalkingWorks program for employers.
