Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and Blue Plus work closely with physicians, hospitals and other health care providers to ensure that our members have access to affordable, quality medical care.
For the last several months, we have been working to negotiate a new contract with St. Croix Regional Medical Center to keep them as a participating provider in our network. While these negotiations continue, effective March 1, 2013, St. Croix Regional Medical Center will become a nonparticipating provider with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, as we have been unable at this time to reach agreement on a new contract. Members will still have Blue Card access to St. Croix Medical Center locations in Wisconsin. Members may see a change in allowed amounts, but again, will still have access to St. Croix Regional Medical Center at a participating level through Blue Card. After February 28, 2013, the St. Croix Medical Center clinic, Lindstrom Physical Rehabilitation in Lindstrom, MN, will become nonparticipating.
Members continue to have access to our large network of participating hospitals and physicians. For help identifying a participating provider available, call us or get help finding a doctor.
We are committed to helping you with any issues that result from this possible network change. More information is available below. If you have questions, please call the phone number on the back of your member ID card.
