Government funded programs offered by Blue Plus

Blue Plus offers low-cost health care plans through the State of Minnesota for people who don’t have access to affordable health care coverage. You’ll need to submit a Minnesota Health Care Program application to see if you qualify.

Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP)
For children under age 21, the parent of a child under age 18, adults without children who meet certain income limits, low income families, pregnant women, and people who have disabilities.

Minnesota Senior Care Plus (MSC+)
For individuals age 65 and older who qualify for Medical Assistance (Medicaid).

MinnesotaCare
For children, adults and seniors who don’t have access to affordable health care coverage, but do not meet the eligibility requirements for Medical Assistance (Medicaid). Working adults who are unable to get health care coverage through an employer may qualify.

Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO)
SecureBlue(SM) (HMO SNP) is for individuals who are age 65 or over, receive Medical Assistance (Medicaid) from the state, have both Medicare Part A and Part B and live in the service area.

Blue Plus is a nonprofit independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
