Blue Plus is committed to working with community organizations to support the health of all limited-income Minnesotans.

Outreach

Our outreach staff is available to answer your questions about Minnesota Health Care Programs and our Blue Plus plans. We are happy to provide presentations to you and your staff and to attend community health fairs and other events. Please e-mail community outreach staff.

Our staff works with public health nurses, care coordinators and community clinics to achieve better health outcomes for our members. If you want to learn more about working with us, or would like us to attend an event in your county, please e-mail community resources staff.

Screening tool helps identify programs for your clients

Many people qualify for Minnesota Health Care Programs and don’t know it. Sometimes people who know they qualify don’t enroll for the health care help they need because of a complicated application process, language problems or other barriers.

Bridge to Benefits an initiative of Children’s Defense Fund Minnesota to improve the well-being of families and individuals by linking them to public work support programs and tax credits. Bridge to Benefits uses a quick and simple online screening tool to help families find out if they may be eligible for public work support programs, including:

  • Health Care Programs (MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistance)
  • Child Care Assistance Program
  • Energy Assistance Program
  • School Meal Program
  • Food Support Program
  • Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
  • Working Family Credit
