  • Specialty drug benefit program list

    The specialty drug benefit program helps Blue Cross members who take certain specialty drugs for some serious or chronic conditions receive their medications safely and on time from an approved network of specialty suppliers. The program covers most self-administered injectable drugs. (Insulin is not considered a specialty drug and is covered under the normal drug benefit.)

  • OTC benefit drug list

    This benefit extends coverage for over-the-counter (OTC) alternatives to certain non-sedating antihistamines for allergies and proton pump inhibitors for acid-related stomach disorders. To obtain coverage, members will need a prescription for the OTC drug.
