FluStop

FluStop helps employers provide seasonal flu shots to employees at the workplace. (If you’re an individual member, please call the customer service number on the back of your member ID card to learn where you can get a flu shot.)

Why host a clinic?

A flu shot is up to 90 percent effective in preventing the flu in healthy adults, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) . A recent survey of FluStop participants found that being able to get a flu shot at work was the main reason most people were vaccinated. The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get the vaccine. The 2011-12 seasonal vaccine will protect against the 2009 H1N1 pandemic virus and two other flu viruses.

How to set up a clinic

See a list of participating providers (MS Excel) for information on how to choose a provider and schedule a clinic for your Minnesota-based members. If you have employees that live outside of Minnesota and want to schedule an onsite FluStop clinic, please contact us at flustop@bluecrossmn.com for more information.

Order stickers

To order “Got the Shot” stickers to give to employees who get a shot, please send an e-mail to flustop@bluecrossmn.com with the following info:

  • Your name, company name and group number
  • Phone number and address (where to send the stickers)
  • How many rolls (200 stickers per roll; maximum 10 rolls)
