Planning a communications calendar

Step 1: Review your benefit plan

Gather your Blue Cross benefit plan materials so all of your organization’s plan information is at your fingertips. If you have questions, contact your agent or account representative.

Step 2: Plan your communications effort

Use the communications plan and calendar template below to help you develop a plan for communicating with employees. Be sure to include:

  • All employee communication channels
  • All available programs and features
  • Seasonal health education

Step 3: Choose and customize your messages

Choose the messages that fit with your health plan and goals, and customize those materials with your company name and plan information (where appropriate). Resources include customizable e-mails and newsletter articles. Several topics also include posters, brochures, handouts and more.
