Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota

Sales

Overview

Our Sales division is the hub of our organization. We count on our sales professionals as the link between all of our activities and initiatives and our customers and communities. If you are passionate about service and enjoy being in the center of business-building action, the Sales division is sure to feel like home.

The Sales area is demanding and ever-changing. You’ll be the “face” of Blue Cross to employers, agents and individuals. So it helps to be a quick learner, with a deep understanding and interest in health care. Many positions require strong negotiating skills, the ability to grow and maintain business relations, and the ability to think on your feet.

Opportunities in the sales area include these positions:

  • Sales Leads — here you focus on new sales and agent relationships. Responsibilities include selling Blue Cross’ new products and services. You’ll work with, selling to or training licensed agents.
  • Account Managers — you’ll handle post-sale service and renewal of existing accounts. You’ll manage and service the customer relationship and coordinate all account activities, including customer reporting and customer service.
  • Sales Specialists and Account Specialists — you’ll support sales leads or account managers with activities such as proposals, client presentations, project management and meeting account needs.
  • Account Coordinators — as part of this group, you’ll set up new groups, manage enrollment, coordinate service delivery requirements
  • The Sales division is organized by functional areas. These are: commercial sales and account management (servicing major accounts and large and small community accounts); sales and marketing operations; and sales and marketing strategic planning and analysis.
