Meet an insider

Nicole Garberg is a primary market research consultant at Blue Cross. She works with many different divisions throughout the organization to help people understand what consumers think about their products and services — or about Blue Cross in general. In other words, she makes sure Blue Cross gets the information it needs to be successful.

What’s your day like?

“I’m often juggling multiple projects in different stages. I meet with product managers to help them identify ways to learn more about their audience and to evaluate how a particular strategy or tactic is working.

One of my roles is to serve as a liaison between vendors and internal marketers here at Blue Cross. That means sometimes I’m out of the office facilitating focus groups or on the phone working out the details of a questionnaire or survey.

Once research is completed, I evaluate the results based on my experience and the parameters of the project. My “clients” seem pretty happy with my work -- I get a lot of repeat business!
