Rose Perry, a Membership Enrollment Specialist, knows for sure that Blue Cross is the right place for her. The proof? She left Minnesota a while back and spent 8 years working in New York. When family responsibilities called her home again, there was no question about where she wanted to work. She explained, “I’d been in membership at Blue Cross before my move to the East Coast, and it was my first choice when I returned.”

“My days go so quickly here. I’m always busy and there’s a nice variety of work. I help some of the big companies we serve, making changes to their enrollment information, sending letters, coordinating data feeds. There are two computer monitors set up in my station and I multi-task between the two. You’ve got to be good at juggling tasks and managing priorities in this area.

What do I love about it? It’s busy and fast-paced but it also lets me keep the rest of my life in balance. I work from 6 am to 2:30 pm, so I still have time for personal responsibilities in the afternoons.

I use the on-site fitness center Blue Cross offers for my exercise needs, especially in the winter, and I like to take part in the volunteer activities. Just recently, a group of us from Blue Cross volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity home construction site. There I was, taping and mudding walls. Now that’s something I never expected my career to lead to!”
