Growing up, Cassie Lindquist heard great things about Blue Cross. That's because her father had Blue Cross insurance for the family through his job. His positive experience as a member rubbed off on her. Many years later, when Cassie had an opportunity to join Blue Cross' Government Programs division, she jumped at the chance.
"I've always had a positive association with Blue Cross and thought it would be a great company to work for. I did some research and learned that Blue Cross continues to be the innovative health company my dad always said it was. It was an easy decision for me to join the Blue Cross team."
Never a dull moment
“I’m in charge of developing and managing programs for new and existing Medicare and Medicaid health plans at Blue Cross. The thing I like best about working here is that my job is never boring. I support our marketing, sales, customer service, claims and compliance groups. This gives me the opportunity to partner with many areas of the company to determine what our members want and need. I also have to keep up with government regulations and understand legislative developments, both nationally and locally — not an easy task in today's environment of reform and change!
I always have a lot going on. I might be producing medical ID cards for our government program members, writing a Medicare contract, reviewing market research to better learn what seniors want and need, or answering benefits questions from our customer service group. I enjoy working with many other divisions of Blue Cross to accomplish my goals.
I feel good about what I do
I’ve been with Blue Cross more than three years and I still look forward to the continuing challenges that marketing for government programs brings. I feel I’m part of something important, something that matters in our world today. At Blue Cross, social responsibility and integrity are valued. This is an organization I feel good about working for.’
