Drug discount program

Blue Cross provides a discount savings program called Rx Advantage to our Medicare Supplement/Medicare Select and Platinum Blue (Cost)* members. There’s no need to enroll. If you have a qualifying plan, you’re automatically eligible for the Rx Advantage discount.

• How to get started
  
• Take your prescription to any pharmacy in the Blue Cross network. Call 1-800-509-0545 or find a network pharmacy near you .
  
• Show your Blue Cross ID card before you have a prescription filled. If a discount applies, you'll pay the reduced cost. You won’t be able to adjust the price after the purchase has been made.

IMPORTANT: The Rx Advantage discount program is separate from Medicare Part D coverage that you may be enrolled in and cannot be combined with Part D benefits. If you are enrolled in a Part D plan you should always use your Part D coverage to purchase prescription drugs. If your prescription drug is not covered by your Part D plan, you may use Rx Advantage. Your out-of-pocket costs using Rx Advantage do not apply toward your Part D plan deductible, cost-sharing and/or out-of-pocket maximum limits.

* The products and services described above are neither offered nor guaranteed under our contract with the Medicare program. In addition, they are not subject to the Medicare appeals process. Any disputes regarding these products and services may be subject to the Platinum Blue grievance process.
