Becoming appointed
Here are some of the basic requirements for becoming a Blue Cross agent:
- Before representing Blue Cross and/or its affiliates’ and subsidiaries’ portfolio of products, you must be licensed by the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
- You must be currently licensed to sell life, accident and health insurance in the state of Minnesota and show evidence of current professional liability coverage.
- All appointed Blue Cross agents are required to meet minimum production requirements on an annual basis, according to the Blue Cross Agent’s Agreement.
